This is a notification from The Klickitat County Emergency Notification System.
Due to uncontrolled oil train fire in the Mosier Oregon area the Klickitat County Health Department has issued an Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups Advisory.
Air Quality in smoke impacted regions of Bingen, White Salmon, and surrounding areas may be unhealthy for sensitive individuals. Smoke advisories provide generalized regional information only. Air quality conditions may change rapidly and vary greatly throughout the area.
During these conditions limit sensitive individuals to light outdoor activities. Sensitive individuals with asthma, respiratory infection, lung or heart disease, and diabetes may need to remain indoors. Sensitive individuals should be limited to moderate physical activity.
Adverse symptoms may include dizziness, headache, difficulty breathing, coughing, excessive phlegm, and nausea. For specific medical advice please contact your physician.
