Fire District #3 covers a diverse area of 50 square miles in southwestern Klickitat County. Amongst the towns supported are Husum, BZ Corners, Snowden and the White Salmon urban growth area. Because of the terrain diversity we cover not only towns but also dense forest land, farmland and rural countryside. A population of 4,500 is protected by fire stations: Husum, Cherry Lane, and Mountain Brook.
The fire fighting force includes a full time Chief and Asst. Chief as well as 29 volunteer members. They continually train and keep current with the latest firefighting techniques and equipment.
